24-Hour Theatre experiment at TNT this weekend

NILES — From the chaos will come drama when Trumbull New Theatre presents 24-Hour Theatre this weekend.

The experimental theater begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday at TNT, 5883 Youngstown-Warren Road. Auditions will begin at 8. Each actor is expected to prepare a one-minute monologue. The predetermined directors and writing staff will then handpick their teams. After all teams are chosen, the directors and actors will go home for the night. Each writing team will then write a 10- to 15-minute play to be staged, rehearsed and performed in front of an audience the next day. The performances begin at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Any actor or actress who is interested is invited to come to TNT Friday night at 7:30. The fee for writers, actors and directors is $5, which includes a T-shirt and food Saturday.
