Presidential straw poll slated for May 22

LORDSTOWN — A presidential straw poll will be taken 6 p.m. May 22 at Lordstown High School at 6 p.m. May 22. The poll is open to the public.

Lordstown High School government teacher Terry Armstrong will invite a representative from all Democratic presidential campaigns to attend the event to speak.

A straw poll such as this can suggest the outcome of an upcoming election, Armstrong said. Ohio’s presidential primary is scheduled for March 4, 2008.
