Hayes anniversary to be observed at reception May 19

OVIEDO, Fla. -- Friends and relatives are invited to an open reception to be held from 1 to 4 p.m. May 19 at Vienna United Methodist Church in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Hayes, 2168 Firestone Court, formerly of Vienna, who will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the occasion will be their son and his wife, Ed and Stephanie Hayes of Oviedo, and their granddaughters, Amanda Smith and Jennifer Nikitscher.
The former Marjorie G. Oaks and Mr. Hayes were united in marriage May 28, 1937, in the Methodist Parsonage in New Cumberland, W.Va. They are members of the Vienna church.
Mrs. Hayes retired in 1979 from her position as a teacher at Chaney High School. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Ohio Teachers Association and Youngstown Home Economics Association.
Mr. Hayes was a supervisor in the tool and die department at Packard Electric Co. in Warren prior to retiring in 1979. He is a member of Vienna Kiwanis Club and Old Erie Lodge 3, F & amp;AM, Warren.
