Flickinger-Sloan wedding to be in park gazebo

HUBBARD -- A summer wedding is planned by Karen Lin Flickinger and Joshua T. Sloan, both of Boardman, whose engagement is announced by their parents, Gary and Linda Flickinger and Marilyn Sloan, all of Hubbard.
The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 5 p.m. ceremony July 21 at the gazebo in Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park, Youngstown.
Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and also for a reception afterward at the Davis Center in the park.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education, the bride-elect is an intervention specialist with Struthers City Schools.
The future groom, also a son of the late Merle Sloan Jr., is an assistant manager with B. Dalton Bookseller in Boardman. He holds a associate degree in electrical engineering from YSU.
