Culps celebrate 50th anniversary during luncheon

BOARDMAN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Culp, 8304 Hitchcock Road, was celebrated with family and friends during a luncheon and reception held Saturday at Good Hope Lutheran Church, where they are members.
Invitations for the event were issued by the couple's children and their spouses, Kenneth Culp of Houston, Lillian and Jon Williamson of Boardman, and Carl and Tina Culp of Girard. Also participating were their five grandchildren.
Central Christian Church in Youngstown was the setting as the couple were united in marriage March 30, 1957.
Mrs. Culp, the former Hildalee V. Moore, is co-founder of Good Hope Nursery School in Boardman where she served as director and teacher prior to retiring in 1989. She is a member of Youngstown and Columbiana doll clubs.
Mr. Culp retired in 1998 as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Youngstown. He is a part-time custodian at the church and is also co-leader of Boosters of Good Hope Lutheran Church.
The couple were former Scout leaders and are regular blood donors for the American Red Cross.
