Kennedy namesfootball coach
HERMITAGE -- Kennedy Catholic announced the resignation of Mike Donato as football coach and the hiring of Joe Kenneally as his replacement Friday.
Donato, who resigned to pursue other opportunities, was the coach since 2003, leading the Golden Eagles to a District 10 championship in 2005.
Kenneally was junior high coach at North East Catholic (1989-1991), offensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Youngstown South (1992), assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Rayen (1993), assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Kennedy Catholic (1994-2002) and co-head coach at North Catholic Junior High (2003-2006).
Kenneally is a graduate of Ursuline High.

NFL signings
*CLEVELAND -- Backup offensive tackle Nat Dorsey re-signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns Friday.
Dorsey played in 13 games last year for the Browns, including two starts at right tackle to end the season, filling in for Ryan Tucker and Kelly Butler on the team's injury depleted line.
*PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Max Starks signed his tender offer of 1.85 million for the 2007 season Friday, the last day the he could do so.
The Steelers have not negotiated with Starks on an extension past 2007, a sign they will allow him to become an unrestricted free agent next year. By tendering an offer to the 6-foot-8, 340-pound Starks, the Steelers forced any team that wanted to sign the offensive lineman this year to give up a first-round draft pick.
Starks, a former star at Florida, was a third-round draft pick by Pittsburgh in 2004 and started every game during their Super Bowl-winning season in 2005. He started their first 14 games last season, but injured his eight knee and was replaced for the final two games by rookie Willie Colon.
While Colon is expected to push Starks during training camp, it appears likely Starks will start for one more season before the Steelers switch to Colon or another player in 2008.
