2,000 grant to help in education program

WARREN -- Someplace Safe Inc., Trumbull County's domestic violence agency, recently received a 2,000 grant from the Avon Foundation.
The grant will allow Someplace Safe to continue to educate county schoolchildren on how to recognize and prevent domestic violence. With the grant, Someplace Safe is able to provide a social worker to teach age-appropriate curriculum to kindergarten through eighth-grade pupils.
Topics include anger management and conflict resolution for kindergarten through fourth-grade pupils, and dating violence, domestic violence and healthy relationships for fifth- through 12th-graders.
