Crash kills Austintown man, 22

AUSTINTOWN — Township police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a crash this morning that killed a 22-year-old Austintown man.

According to police reports, the man was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am east on New Road just east of the state Route 11 overpass at 5:22 a.m. when the fatal accident occurred. Officials said they believe the man’s car hit a guardrail. His name is not being released, pending the notification of his family.
