Section of North Turner Road closed Monday

AUSTINTOWN — Beginning Monday, North Turner Road under Interstate 80 will be closed through late May, for bridge construction, says a press release from the Ohio Department of Transportation. The detour is Silica Road to Ohltown Road.

Currently, I-80 between the Ohio Turnpike and state Route 11 has two lanes open in each direction. Beginning April 30, North Lipkey Road under I-80 will be closed through early June for bridge construction. The detour will be Mahoning Avenue to state Route   45 to Silica Road. This work is part of a major widening and reconstruction of I-80. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by fall 2009.
