SCHOLARSHIPS

Here's a list of scholarships available for college and college-bound students.
Carnation City Players Scholarship: The Carnation City Players Education Award is open to high school seniors who have been active in Alliance-area community or school theater projects. Recipients will be chosen based on past theater experience, CCP membership (one deciding factor, but not required), academic record, personal achievement, two letters of recommendation and future theater plans (community theater or professional training). The scholarship application is available online at www.carnationcityplayers.org or from high school guidance offices. The filing deadline is May 1. The CCP Education Award will be announced May 30th.
Youngstown Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs Inc. and Ebony Ladies Golf and Youth Foundation: The two organizations have joined together to provide scholarships to assist college-bound students from the Youngstown and Warren areas with books and instructional fees. To apply, seniors should contact their high school guidance counselors. May 4 is the application deadline.
