Harding teams excel at Liberty



LIBERTY -- Warren Harding's Stephen Drake scored 30 1/2 points to earn MVP as the Raiders scored 158 points to win the boys team title at Saturday's Liberty Invitational.
Harding also won the girls title with 134 points, while Hubbard's Katoria Carter earned MVP with 25 1/2 points.
Drake won both the 110 hurdles (15.4 seconds) and the 300 hurdles (41.5). Harding's Christopher Anzevino won the shot put (51 feet, 4 1/2 inches) and the discus (160-10).
Carter took first place in the 400 (59.6) and the 200 (26.3). Kari Haywood of Brookfield won the 100 hurdles (16.1) and 300 hurdles (47.5), while Newton Falls' Kaicee Kubicina was first in the shot put (35-8) and discus (122).
Lakeview Invitational
CORTLAND -- Ursuline won the boys title (112 points) and Lakeview captured the girls title (125 points) at the Lakeview Invitational.
Warren JFK's Michael Frank, Dan Hull, Patrick Murphy and Michael Perisa set the meet record in the 4x800 relay record (8:25.3). Murphy, Frank, Perisa and Hull also set the 4x400 relay record (3:30.3).
Hull set the 400 meter record (49.6). Conneaut's Jake Lundin set the 300 hurdle record (39.3).
United's Jordan Johnson and Lundin shared running MVP honors, while Lakeview's Brad Schrecengost was field MVP.
Warren JFK's Michelle Chaves, Marissa Nocera, Lauren Perisa and Audrey Maheu set records in the 4x800 relay (10:00.7) and 4x400 relay (4:12.9).
Maheu set the 400 record (58.7). Hannah Croft, Alynn Martin, Kiley Mathews and Nicole Bevilacqua of Lakeview set the 4x200 relay record (1:48.6).
Maheu and Prezioso shared running MVP. Southeast's Nikki Murphy and Jefferson's Elizabeth Ziemski shared field MVP.
