YSU Prayer Vigil for Virginia Tech victims

YOUNGSTOWN — About 70 students, staff and faculty at Youngstown State University gathered in Kilcawley Center this morning for a prayer vigil in memory of the victims of Monday's shootings at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.

A gunman is suspected of killing 32 students and faculty there before killing himself.

"America, right now, is dealing with a major tragedy," said William J. Black, director of YSU Student Diversity Programs and one of the organizers of the vigil.

"We need to support each other. We need to draw strength from each other," Anne Lally, coordinator of YSU Career and Counseling Services, told the gathering.
