YOUNGSTOWN -- The National Council of Negro Women will hold a state meeting Saturday at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road.
Gloria Chapmon, state convener from Oakwood Village, will preside at the 9 a.m. meeting, which will be followed by workshops on Social Security, Black Family Reunion, budgeting and women's health concerns.

Rainbow Tea setby Presbyterian women
YOUNGSTOWN -- Butler Memorial Presbyterian Church Women will hold its annual Rainbow Tea at noon Saturday at the church, 126 E. Rayen Ave. The tea is free and open to the public.
Beverly J. Shumann, principal at Harding Elementary School, will be the guest speaker. In conjunction with the organization's local mission, Adopt-A-School, the women have been providing school uniforms and other items for children in need at Harding school.
Cleo Blakely will serve as chairwoman, and her committee will be Joyce Paul and Lillie Reynolds.
Relay for Life eventto include breakfast
YOUNGSTOWN -- Scheduled as part of the Youngstown Relay for Life Event to be held Friday and Saturday at Beeghly Center on the campus of Youngstown State University is a community breakfast that will be available from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Tickets for the breakfast are 6 for adults and 4 for children and will be available at the door.
A cancer survivor couple, Artis and Annie Gilliam, will be honored at the breakfast, and Mayor Jay Williams will be a special guest.

Speedway sponsorsfood bank benefit
HARTFORD -- Sharon Speedway, 3241 Orangeville-Custer Road, will kick off the racing season on Saturday with a "Two for 2" event that will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Patrons who take two nonperishable food items to the event will receive 2 off an adult general admission ticket.
Food donations will be collected outside the gate from 4 p.m. until races begin at 6.

Chinese auctionat Campbell school
CAMPBELL -- St. Joseph the Provider School Home and School Association will sponsor a Chinese auction Sunday at 633 Porter Ave., Campbell.
Doors open at 10 a.m. and the auction begins at 2 p.m. Early bird prizes will be drawn every 15 minutes beginning at 12:30 p.m. Winners need not be present.
Admission is 5 and includes 20 tickets, a free bowl of haluski, a piece of cake and an opportunity to win door prizes. Extra sheets of tickets can be purchased, and a variety of food will be sold.
Seating is limitedfor buffet lunch
BOARDMAN -- Due to limited seating, tickets must be purchased in advance for the steak and chicken lunch buffet to be held April 28 at Outback Steakhouse, 7000 Tiffany Blvd., to raise funds for community service projects supported by Poland Fire Department Auxiliary and Poland Firemen's Association.
Meals will include potatoes, salad, bread and beverage, and each table will receive a complimentary blooming onion. Kids 10 and younger will receive a complimentary lunch of hot dogs and french fries.

Prom for seniorsto be held at center
GIRARD -- The Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., will host a "senior" prom from 7 to 9 p.m. April 26. The semi-to-formal event is open to adults, 18 and older.
The theme for the event will be "Moonlight and Roses," and a disc jockey will play music from the 1940s to the present. Guests will have their pictures taken in a promenade arch, and there will be fancy finger foods. There will also be a Chinese auction for many baskets.
