Isleys now feature former Youngstowner

Clarence “Dr. Bobb” Ross is coming home.

As a touring member of the Isley Brothers, which headlines a show next Thursday at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown, the 1976 East High School graduate looks forward to his Mahoning County return. In fact, while he often comes back through Northeast Ohio a few times a year to see family and search for up-and-coming talent, this marks the first time he will be playing his hometown as a member of the famed R&B act.

“To play Youngstown is a real treat,” said Ross, calling from outside of Chicago. “I’m getting bombarded with calls for tickets from everybody I’ve ever known and ever wanted to know. They’re all calling me, but I’m looking forward to it.”
