Spencer 60th anniversary to be celebrated

XDEERFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Spencer, 2131 Valley Drive, will be honored by family members and friends as they celebrate the 60th anniversary of their wedding during at a dinner party to be held Tuesday in Alliance.
The couple were united in marriage April 17, 1947, in Parkersburg, W.Va., and lived for 45 years in Craig Beach before moving to Deerfield.
Their family includes Richard and Sylvia Spencer and Ardenia and James Gregory, all of Craig Beach; Larry and Dorothy Spencer of Deerfield; Maxine and Robert Fraley of Lake Milton; Linda and Larry Moran of Newton Falls; Ernest Spencer Jr. of Diamond; and Edwina Billings of LaGrande, Ore. The couple have 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Spencer was employed at Rockwell Steel in Newton Falls and afterward at Deerfield Farms prior to retiring in 2004. His wife is a homemaker.
The couple are members of Lads and Lassies.
