Plans for Zimmer, Davis wedding are being announced

The engagement of April Zimmer and Tony Davis, both of 3425 Glenmere Drive, Youngstown, is being announced by their parents.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Nancy Skopic of Poland and Bruce Zimmer of Berlin Center, and parents of the future groom are Nancy Hazel of Youngstown and William Davis of Girard.
The couple's open wedding on Oct. 6 will take place at 2 p.m. at St. Michael Church in Canfield. Invitations will be extended for their evening reception at Stambaugh Auditorium, Youngstown.
The bride-elect is employed by the Liberty Local School District as a reading teacher at the W.S. Guy Middle School. She graduated cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in middle-childhood education.
The prospective groom served with the 838th Military Police Company, Ohio National Guard. He graduated from Malone College in Canton with a bachelor's degree in business management and is a lieutenant at the Ohio State Penitentiary.
