XSalvation Army Women's Auxiliary will celebrate its 25th anniversary at a noon meeting Tuesday at Park Vista Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Ave. Mrs. William C. Bigelow will preside, and Susan Borowski will speak on "Laughter-Fitness." Accolades will be given by Sue Foley. XVFW 3538 Auxiliary of Struthers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday with a social hour to follow. Members are collecting Campbell Soup labels for children at the national home and also nonperishable items such as toiletries, cookies and potato chips in nonbreakable containers for the servicemen and women in VA hospitals and serving in Iraq. XBoardman Poland Junior Women's League will hold a picnic open house Sept. 18 at Beard Cabin in Boardman Township Park. Featured will be a "Welcome Back" general meeting at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30. School supplies will be collected for a local school. The league is open to all women over 18 in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. LIBRARY FRIENDS
XFriends of Boardman Library will resume monthly meetings on Monday with a social at 9:30 a.m. in the community room followed by a program at 10.
