CELEBRATIONS
Youngstown American-Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will hold a Hungarian Heritage Day celebration from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Featured will be music, folk art, dancing, and a boutique offering preserves, spices, noodles, clothing, books and other items. Also available will be chicken dinners, Hungarian goulash, stuffed cabbage, stuffed peppers, cabbage and noodles, kolbassi and sauerkraut, and a variety of pastries. Admission is $2.
CRAFT SHOWS

FUNDRAISERS
ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter will sponsor a Youngstown/Warren Walk to D-Feet ALS on Oct. 15 at Kent State University, Trumbull Campus, in Warren. Wigs For Kids is sponsoring a Golf Fore Kids outing to be held Sept. 18 at Elyria Country Club, 41625 Oberlin Road, Elyria. The cost is $250 per golfer and includes a boxed lunch, scramble, gourmet sit-down dinner, and live and silent auctions. Cost for the dinner only is $75. PROGRAMS
Sutliff Museum, located on the second floor of Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, will present the first in a series of free public programs at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12. "Diamonds in Your China Cabinet" will be the topic of LindaJo Hare of Michigan, president of the American Cut Glass Association. Those attending may take one or two pieces of their own for display and discussion. Refreshments will be served. SALES
Guilford Lake Ruritans, state Route 172 at Hanna Drive, will hold a sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday featuring crafts, holiday items, furniture, tools and a flea market. The kitchen will be open.
Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ, 939 Elm St., Youngstown, will hold a trash and treasure sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be clothing, household articles and a variety of miscellaneous items. Food will be available.
A rummage and clothing sale will be held at St. John's Educational Center, corner of Cedar and Morrison, Sharon, Pa., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. There will also be a bake sale and the sale of homemade haluski.
St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Sales will be cash only. Food and beverages will be available.
Southington United Methodist Church Day Circle, state Routes 395 and 534, Southington will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 13. Lunch of homemade bean soup, corn bread, sandwiches, beverages and pies will be served, and carryouts will be available. Bag day will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sept. 14.
SHOWS
Columbiana Rose Societyis sponsoring its46th annual rose show during Columbiana Street Fair. The public may submit entries from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sky Bank on Main Street. SPECIAL EVENTSHoly Cross Church, 317 Belmont St. N.W., Warren, is sponsoring a family party at Ciminero's Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St., Niles. Doors will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday, and games begin at 10; on Thursday, doors open at 5 p.m. and games begin at 6:30. Food will be available and coffee is free.
Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, will hold its third annual Farmer's Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A chicken barbecue will begin at 2 p.m. and carryouts will be available. Space is available for vendors interested in selling locally grown or produced items. TRIPS
A bus trip originating in North Royalton will stop at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, Liberty, to pick up anyone interested in joining a ladies day out shopping excursion to five consignment-resale shops in the Youngstown, Poland, Boardman and Canfield. The trip is being sponsored by the Sassy Classies Chapter 10030, Red Hat Society, of Twinsburg, and the cost of $38 includes transportation, extra discounts, snacks, a box lunch and gratuities.
