Woodworth 65th celebrated during trip to Canada



XBOARDMAN -- A trip to Lock 7 in Thorold, Ontario, Canada, from Aug. 26 to 28 was taken by Mr. and Mrs. Eugene W. Woodworth, 1953 Sequoya Drive, as they celebrated the 65th anniversary of their wedding.
The former Martha Bence and Mr. Woodworth were married Aug. 27, 1941, at the home of the bride's parents in Youngstown.
They are members of Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church and Miriam Chapter 278, Order of Eastern Star, for which Mrs. Woodworth served as worthy matron. They have been volunteers at South Side Medical Center and are volunteers at Beeghly Oaks Nursing Home.
Mr. Woodworth served five years with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific and European Theater of Operations during World War II. He retired from Ohio Edison Co. in 1979 and is active in Western Star Lodge 21, F & amp;AM.
Mrs. Woodworth is a former employee of the G.M. McKelvey Co. She is a member of the L.B. Circle, Clotilda Club and the Martha Circle at the church, and is a past mother adviser for Youngstown Assembly 16, Order of Rainbow for Girls.
The Woodworths' family includes a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susan Woodworth, and three grandchildren, all of Youngstown.
