XAUSTINTOWN -- Hawaii was the honeymoon destination of Matthew Alan Reel, 1226 Signature Drive, and his bride, the former Jennifer Michele McConahy, 2515 Graceland Road, New Castle, Pa., who were united in marriage Aug. 11 during a 4 p.m. ceremony at Smith Corners United Methodist Church.
The bride is a daughter of James and Marsha McConahy, 2509 Graceland Road, New Castle, and parents of the groom are Kenneth and Mary Ann Reel, 5655 Kirk Road, Canfield.
The Rev. David McKinnon officiated at the wedding ceremony, and later that day the couple were honored during a reception at Avion on the Water in Canfield.
They live at the Signature Drive address.
The strapless white gown worn by the bride featured a corset back and was embellished with crystals at the waist and on the train.
Navy-blue gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Amy Nash of Rootstown, and the bridesmaids, Mary Anne McConahy, her sister-in-law, and Amy Rubin, both of New Castle.
Best man was Dr. Michael Cafaro of Austintown, and serving as groomsmen were Eric McConahy of New Castle, brother of the bride, and Mark Klein of Austintown.
Mrs. Reel is in corporate communications with First National Bank of Hermitage, Pa., and Mr. Reel is a mathematics teacher with Canfield Local Schools. They earned bachelor of arts degrees and master's degrees in education at Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa.
