CANFIELD
Oct. 23
Theft: Solar lights and a box of personal checks were stolen from a home in the 300 block of Verdant Lane. The owner said there was no forced entry and that residents may have left the doors unlocked.
Oct. 24
Drug abuse: Police arrested a Canfield man on charges of drug abuse and possession of marijuana after police saw him pacing around the parking lot at BP Gas Station, 599 E. Main St. The man said he was waiting for a ride home, but when his girlfriend arrived to pick him up, police told her to stay in the car. A search revealed he had a suspected marijuana cigarette in his possession.
Criminal mischief: Three windows were shot out of excavator equipment owned by Morris Construction at a new construction site on East Main Street.
Oct. 25
Debit card: A woman from the 500 block of Briarcliff Drive reported the unauthorized use of her debit card.
Oct. 26
Theft: A 17-year-old boy who is a student at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, reported 43 in cash was stolen from his locker in the boys locker room.
Oct. 27
Burglary: Three gold earrings, two gold necklaces, a solid gold bracelet, a long black leather jacket, a pair of black leather boots and underwear were stolen from a residence in the 20 block of Hood Drive.
AUSTINTOWN
Oct. 23
Drug offense: Police arrested an Austintown man North Four Mile Run Road on charges of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Breaking and entering: WRTK radio station, 5370 W. Webb Road, was broken into and copper electrical wire was taken.
Theft: Police arrested two men for theft at Cement Masons & amp; Plasterers Local 179 offices, 5208 Mahoning Ave.
Truck theft: A green Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was stolen from IGA, 4477 Mahoning Ave.
Oct. 24
Theft: A total of 150 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from a truck parked at the Comfort Inn truck lot, 5425 Clarkins Drive.
Forgery: A federal refund check was forged at Advanced Check, 3700 Mahoning Ave.
Robbery: Police placed a Youngstown man in Mahoning County jail. The man had a box cutter in his possession after a robbery at Work Wear Depot, 6000 Mahoning Ave., where police said he stole three coats.
Theft: A coin box on a dryer was broken into at apartments in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.
Oct. 25
Criminal damaging: An item was thrown by a boy on a school bus striking a vehicle windshield on Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: An AM-FM/compact-disc player and compact discs were taken from a vehicle at a home in the 2000 block of Raccoon Road.
Pursuit: Police pursued a man in his vehicle, but the man crashed the vehicle and fled on foot at New Road and Raccoon Road.
Theft: A stereo was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Theft: Various items and currency were stolen from a vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 500 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Theft: A window of a vehicle was broken out and an Ipod and radio adapter were stolen on Potomac Avenue, next to the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue.
Theft: A check and currency were stolen from the office at Lucianno's Restaurant, 1732 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A 30-day temporary tag was stolen from a vehicle at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Halloween decorations were stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Baylor Avenue.
Oct. 27
Theft: A Youngstown man stole a pair of shoes worth 16.99 from Payless Shoe Source, 6000 Mahoning Avenue.
Fraud: A victim's debit card was used by an unidentified person. The victim lives in the 4000 block of Starr Drive.
Theft: A stereo was stolen from an auto parked in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Fraud: An unauthorized debit was charged to the victim's checking account. The victim lives in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue.
Theft: A purse was taken from an auto parked at Sprint, 5507 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: A cash advance was made to a bank account of a resident in the 4000 block of New Road.
Theft: Coins were taken from machines at Greenbriar Village Apartments, 2230 S. Raccoon Road.
Oct. 28
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to a Niles man for possession of drug paraphernalia after the man's arrest at state Route 46 at Interstate 80.
Criminal damaging: Two tires were slashed on a vehicle at a home in the 1000 block of Signature Place.
Criminal damaging: One hundred feet of lawn was damaged in the front yard of a home in the 2000 block of Innwood Street.
Burglary: A residence was entered and items stolen at a home in the 200 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.
Theft: Coin machines and money were stolen from Greenbriar Village Apartments.
Theft: Meat and sardines were stolen from Deals, 6007 Mahoning Ave.
Oct. 29
Criminal mischief: A residence was toilet-papered and egged in the 4000 block of South Warwick Drive.
Auto theft: A 2000 Dodge Dakota was stolen from a home in the 60 block of North Roanoke Avenue.
Theft/criminal damaging: Washing machine coin boxes were damaged and money stolen at Greenbriar Village Apartments.
Tampering: A coin box from a dryer was tampered with at Greenbriar Village Apartments.
