INDIANA, Pa. -- Zak Kusek scored two goals and added an assist, and Matt Jacob made 40 saves to lead Youngstown State to a 4-2 win over previously-unbeaten Indiana (Pa.), 4-2, Saturday.
IUP (6-1), ranked 17th in the ACHA poll, led 1-0 just 16 seconds into the game on a goal by Brian Willett, and 2-0 on a goal by Kevin Lutz with 7:39 elapsed.
The Penguins (5-4) began their comeback with a power play goal from defenseman Phil Colucci (Mineral Ridge) with 5:58 remaining in the first period.
YSU completed its comeback midway in the second period, scoring two more power play goals in a span of 1:29, by MikePoljak and Kusek.
In the third period, Kusek got his second goal with 12:01 to go.
The Penguins play host to Kent State Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Ice Zone.

PAC honors
*WEXFORD, Pa. -- The Presidents' Athletic Conference selected Bethany College freshman wide receiver Matt Cruse and junior defensive back R.J. Faldowski as its offensive and defensive players of the week.
The Bison defeated Thomas More, 21-17. Cruse caught eight passes for 91 yards and a pair of scores. Faldowski had eigh tackles and two interceptions.
*NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Presidents' Athletic Conference named Westminster College sophomore Megan Mier as the women's swimmer/diver of the week.
Mier helped the Titans to a third-place finish at the Westminster Relay Carnival. She swam on one first-place relay team and two second-place relay teams.
McDonald coaches
McDONALD -- The McDonald school board Monday named the following coaches: Gary Games, seventh-grade girls basketball coach; Kevin O'Connell, JV girls basketball coach; and Ed Dolsak, assistant girl's basketball coach, volunteer.
Others named coaches were Greg Verch, freshman boys basketball coach; Brad Conley, seventh-grade boys basketball coach, and Jeff Rasile, who is also boys basketball head coach, fifth- and sixth-grade boys basketball coach.
Other coaching positions approved included: Tammy Camuso, eighth-grade girls basketball coach; James Fortune, fifth- and sixth-grade girls basketball coach; and Brian Higgins, JV boys basketball coach.
Also named were Ed Stonestreet, eighth-grade boys basketball coach, and Brent Groscost, assistant boys basketball coach, volunteer.

Spiezio, Belliard file for free agency
NEW YORK -- Scott Spiezio and Ronnie Belliard filed for free agency Monday, three days after helping the St. Louis Cardinals win their first World Series title since 1982.
Cardinals pitcher Jason Marquis and backup infielder Jose Vizcaino, who were not on the World Series roster, also were among 39 players who filed, raising the free-agent total to 122.
Cincinnati pitcher Paul Wilson filed conditionally, awaiting a decision by the team on its 3.75 million option.
Also filing were Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez, Baltimore first baseman Kevin Millar, injured New York Yankees reliever Tanyon Sturtze.
New York Mets relievers Chad Bradford, Roberto Hernandez and Guillermo Mota filed along with pitcher Yusaku Iriki -- the only major leaguer to flunk a drug test this year. Iriki tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance during spring training, when he was on the major league roster. The Mets sent him to the minors, and he didn't pitch for New York this season.
Iriki filed provisionally pending a decision by the Mets on their 1.5 million option, which likely will be declined.
NBA moves
*SEATTLE -- Luke Ridnour chose stability and the opportunity to stay in the Pacific Northwest over the chance to determine his value on the open market.
The Seattle SuperSonics and Ridnour announced an agreement on a contract extension on Monday. The Sonics had until Tuesday to sign Ridnour to an extension, otherwise the fourth-year point guard could have become a restricted free agent after this season.
The deal came together quickly, with much of the productive dialogue coming in the last few days between Sonics general manger Rick Sund and Lon Babby, Ridnour's agent.
*MILWAUKEE -- Bucks center Andrew Bogut is expected to start Milwaukee's season opener at Detroit Wednesday night after rejoining practice over the weekend.
Bogut, the top pick in the 2005 NBA draft, was diagnosed with a lower left leg sprain after he banged his leg into teammate Steve Blake's knee during a scrimmage Oct. 7. The injury originally was expected to sideline him six to eight weeks.
But Bogut returned to the court last week to shoot and do some individual drills, then practiced over the weekend.
After taking part in a full practice Monday, Bogut said he should be ready for the season opener.
