Police say man made escape

WARREN -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a Warren man who was caught with the help of a police dog but escaped from the hospital where he was being treated for dog bites.
The warrant was issued in municipal court Monday for John D. Streeter, 46, of East Market Street, on charges of breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, resisting arrest, aggravated menacing and escape.
Police reported responding shortly after 9 p.m. Friday to a call of a man going into the Trumbull County-owned Park Porter Building, 280 N. Park Ave. He was using a crowbar to break windows.
Patrol Officer Christopher O'Rourke and his dog, Aron, arrived. O'Rourke warned Streeter to surrender, but he refused. Aron was released, and Streeter fought with the dog. He was bitten on the leg and thigh and taken to the floor.
Police reported they believe Streeter was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, because he denied being in the building.
Once at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Streeter was placed in restraints but managed to get loose and flee.
