STRUTHERS -- Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, was the honeymoon destination of Michael Pieton, 931 Waugh Drive, Hubbard, and his bride, the former Marla Sferra, 136 Overlook Blvd., who were married Sept. 23 during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Nicholas Church.
The Revs. Philip Rogers and Timothy O'Neil officiated, and a reception was held at Tiffany's Banquet Center in Brookfield. The couple live at the groom's address.
Parents of the bride are Joe and Carol Mogulich, also of 136 Overlook Blvd., and Robert Sferra of 3941 Loma Vista Drive, Youngstown. The groom's parents are John and Marge Pieton, New York Lane, Hubbard.
The bride's strapless silk satin gown featured a basque waist and cathedral train, and was embellished with crystals and lace.
Wearing platinum-colored gowns were Monica Griffith, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Julie Phillips, Sheree Moore, Andrea Gentile and Lisa Murray. Mackenzie Pieton, was a miniature bride.
Best man was Patrick Pieton, and groomsmen were Brian Pieton, Dave Pieton, Sean Griffith and Gary Kalbasky. Ring bearer was Patrick Pieton Jr.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree and received a certificate in forensic science and law from Duquesne University. She is director of franchise marketing with Quaker Steak and Lube Franchising Corp. in Sharon, Pa. The groom is a police officer with the city of Hubbard. He graduated from YSU and from the MTC Training Center Niles with an Ohio Peace Officer Training certificate.
