YOUNGSTOWN -- Angela Alders, 1101 Mansell Drive, and Joseph Meranto, 4039 Parkwood Ave., were united in marriage during a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 23 at St. Edward Church.
Monsignor Robert Siffrin officiated at the wedding for the daughter of Linda Sullivan of the Mansell Drive address and Jeff Alders, 3570 Denver Drive, and the son of Joseph and Anna Marie Meranto, 611 Tod Lane.
After a reception at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall, the couple left on a western Caribbean cruise. They live at the groom's address.
The bride's cream satin gown featured a cathedral train and was adorned with silver brocade, crystals and rhinestones.
Margaret Zinghini, the bride's cousin, was the honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Christina Cheffo, the groom's sister; Deanna Santore, his cousin; Jessica Tillery and Olivia Skoloda, the bride's cousins; Mandy Brickley; and Tara Behun. They wore ivory, sable and mauve gowns. Flower girl was Hanna Tillery, the bride's cousin.
Serving as best man was Pete Santore, cousin of the groom, and groomsmen were Donny Cheffo, his brother-in-law; Ryan Alders, the bride's brother; Robert Gaps; Marc Agnone; Steve Newton; and Doug Ensinger. Ring bearer was Dylan Alders, the bride's son, and the usher was Brian Gaps.
The bride is a state-tested nursing assistant at Briarfield Manor in Austintown.
The groom, a customer-service supervisor with Home Savings and Loan, is attending Youngstown State University.
