YOUNGSTOWN -- Takelah Rain Cotton and Andre Paul Eaton were married Oct. 14 at New Hope Baptist Church and were honored afterward during a reception at St. Nicholas Byzantine Center.
The Rev. Kevin Crum Sr. officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Gail and Darryl Williams,, 112 Ohltown Road, and Willie Raye Briskey of Albany, Ga., and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eaton, 2320 S. Meridian Road.
After a honeymoon at San Diego, Calif., and Tijuana, Mexico, the couple live at 24425 Woodbridge, Warren, Mich.
The bride's ivory gown was enhanced with pearls, beads and rhinestones, and featured spaghetti straps and a cathedral train.
Wearing champagne and latte gowns were the honor attendant, LaShaunta Waller, and the bridesmaids, Renee Philyaw, Nancy Cerkvenic, Kristin Havaich, Deidre Watson, Terri Hughes and Kelly Clinkscale. Flower girls were Delia Watson and Asia Jones.
Anthony Eaton was best man, and groomsmen were Derek Watson, Lawrence White, Marvin Jennings, Charles Fierson, Jerald Jackson and Kevin Parker. Avery Philyaw was ring bearer.
Mrs. Eaton, a teacher at Best Academy in Highland Park, Mich., earned an early childhood education degree at Youngstown State University.
The groom received a bachelor's in business administration from Kent State University and is an item manager with TACOM, U.S. Department of Defense, in Warren, Mich.
