Police arrest man after car, foot chase

BOARDMAN -- A Youngstown man who police said broke into a car at the Southern Park Mall at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday was arrested after a vehicle and foot chase that started in Boardman, when he was spotted by police there, and ended in Youngstown.
Kevin Houser, 39, of Salt Springs Road, was apprehended with the assistance of Boardman Police K-9 Unit and Youngstown police on Indianola Avenue near Glenwood Avenue at about 8:45 p.m.
He was charged by Boardman authorities with theft, criminal fleeing and eluding and a number of traffic offenses.
Boardman officials said after they finished processing Houser, they would turn him over to Youngstown police, who were expected to add more charges against him.
