Member of Argus Lodge 545 is recipient of coveted award

CANFIELD -- During their Oct. 6 meeting, members of Argus Lodge 545, F & amp;AM, presented the coveted E. Tom Brown Award to W.B. Robert Edwards, a longtime member and past master, in recognition to his service to the organization.
The award was established to honor those who have given "Service Above Self" to the principles of Freemasonry and have been an ambassador for the lodge.
Edwards is the only member of the lodge and one of the few members of the 24th Masonic District to attend all lodge inspections during the past year. The district is composed of 26 lodges in four Ohio counties with approximately 6,500 members.
A 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite, Edwards is also a member of the York Rite, the Al Koran Shrine and the Aut Mori Grotto and of its clown unit, where he is known as Who Me.
Edwards is also a member of the advisory board of the Salvation Army and financial secretary for Youngstown Fraternal Order of Police 28. He retired in 2000 as a detective with Youngstown Police Department.
