YOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Melissa R. Frank of Austintown and Giorgio J. Vescera of Warren was solemnized at 2 p.m. Sept. 30 by the Revs. John Keehner and Stephen Popovich at St. Columba Cathedral.
The daughter of Joseph and Nancy Frank of Austintown and the son of Mauro and Terri Vescera of Champion accepted congratulations during a reception at DiVieste Banquet Hall in Warren before leaving on a wedding trip to the Coronado Island in San Diego. They live in Hubbard.The bride's strapless A-line gown of silk satin featured a beaded sash and side pickup. She held a bouquet of white and ivory roses.
Champagne dresses were worn by the bride's cousin and honor attendant, Gina Mavrikis, and the bridesmaids, Sonia Alfeld, Angela Ferenchak, Jacquelynne Moretti, Jennifer Zinz and the groom's sister, Gina Vescera. Flower girls were Hannah and Olivia Rossi.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's uncle, Guiseppe Vescera, and groomsmen were Luciano and Giorgio Vennitti and Joseph and Giorgio Vescera, cousins of the groom, and Mauro Vescera, his brother.
The bride, an English teacher with Austintown Fitch High School, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education.
The groom is a graduate of YSU and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He is in private practice in pediatrics in Warren.
