AUSTINTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged on Sept. 23 during a 2 p.m. ceremony as Kristy Mackos and Raymond McLain Jr. were united in marriage by the Rev. Stephen Popovich at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
A reception was held at Willow Creek, Girard, to honor the couple before they left for a honeymoon in Florida. They live n Boardman.
The bride is a daughter of Stephen and Kathleen Mackos of Austintown. The groom is a son of Raymond McLain Sr. of Hanoverton and the late Alene McLain.
Designed with long sheer sleeves and a cathedral train, the bride's white satin A-line gown was embellished with crystals and pearls.
Taupe-trimmed champagne-colored gowns were worn by the bride's cousin and honor attendant, Tina Koontz, and the bridesmaids, Shannon Mackos, Megan Moore and Kayla Mackos, her sisters; Tara Marek, her cousin; and Kerri Capone. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Emma Marek.
Serving as best man was the groom's cousin, Bryan Lyden, and groomsmen were Shawn Mackos, the bride's brother; Jeremy Moore, her brother-in-law; Rich Zelanka; Shannon Oliver; and Travis McDade. Ring bearers were the bride's nephews, Kyle Moore and Colin Moore.
The bride graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is a server at Antone's Italian Grille.
The groom graduated from MTC police academy and is a deputy with Mahoning County Sheriff's Department in Youngstown.
