Alliance -- Mount Union's men team won its 24th Ohio Athletic Conference championshp with 41 points. Senior Jeremy Velliquette earned All-OAC status for the third time in his career by placing first overall in 26:07. Also earning All-OAC honors for Mount were junior Jason Sigmund (5th, 26:23), junior Brian Bernard (6th, 26:26) and sophomore Dustin Ford (10th, 26:41).
The Lady Raiders placed third for the second straight year. Junior Anna McClaugherty (Alliance) earned All-OAC honors by plcing seventh overall in 23:50.

Heidelberg 4, Mount Union 2 -- David Hradek had two goals for the Purple Raiders (5-10-2,2-6-1 OAC).
Hiram 1, Ohio Wesleyan 1 -- Substitute Milan Djurka scored for Hiram (9-6-2, 2-5-2 NCAC) and Brandon Bianco scored for Ohio Wesleyan (13-0-3, 7-0-2 NCAC).
W & amp;J 5, Thiel 0 -- The Tomcats closed out the 2006 season with a loss to its Presidents' Athletic Conference rival. Washington & amp; Jefferson (7-7-4, 3-1-2) took a 1-0 lead at the 13:18 mark of the first half on a goal by Jeremy Delmaster.

Denison 7, Hiram 0 --Anna Rusch had two goals for Denison (13-2-1, 5-2-1 NCAC). Eileen McIver had four saves in goal for the Terriers (3-15-1, 1-7 NCAC).
W & amp;J 3, Thiel 0 -- Thiel held Washington & amp; Jefferson in check for 35 minutes but went on to lose their final game of the season. W & amp;J is 10-7-2, 3-2-1.
SWIMMING
Bradford, Pa. -- The 2006-07 season got underway for Bethany at Pitt-Bradford's Panther Relays. Because it was a relay meet with mixed relays, the combined Bison teams finished in fourth place out of five teams. A third-place finish was turned in by the women's 300 kickboard relay, which included sophomore Tricia Mark (Howland HS).
VOLLEYBALL
Waynesburg, Pa. -- The season came to an end for Bethany with a pair of 3-0 losses at Waynesburg (21-30, 20-30, 25-30) and against Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) University (16-30, 17-30, 24-30). The losses gave the Bison a final record of 7-21 overall and 1-11 in the PAC.
Grove City, Pa. -- Grove City closed the 2006 regular season Friday night with a 22-30, 30-18, 30-20, 27-30, 15-12 victory over visiting Thomas More in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match. The win was Grove City's 20th of the season. It is Grove City's first 20-win season since the 2001 team went 22-11. Grove City (20-10 overall) also closes PAC play with an 8-4 record.
Waynesburg, Pa. -- Thiel wrapped up its 2006 season Saturday at the Waynesburg Tri-Match, falling to host and Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Waynesburg 3-0 and to Carnegie Mellon University 3-0. The Tomcats (8-20, 1-11) lost to Waynesburg 30-12, 30-22, 30-24 and to Carnegie Mellon 30-19, 30-21, 30-21. Against Waynesburg freshman outside hitter LaToya Locke (Farrell HS) finished with 10 kills and six digs. Against Carnegie Mellon, Locke had six kills. Freshman middle hitter Liz Sitko (Hiram, Ohio/Crestwood) added five digs.
