Calendar to be unveiled at art show

Works of area artists will be featured at show and on the calendar.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Junior League of Youngstown has chosen "Celebrating the Mahoning Valley" as the theme for an art show and sale to be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday on the fourth floor of the Youngstown Club in the Commerce Building, 201 E. Commerce St.
The works of area artists will be featured at the event.
Among the highlights of the evening will be:
The unveiling of the JLY 2007 calendar, "Celebrating the Mahoning Valley," that will feature the works of local artists Abby Courtney, Linda Clark, Phyllis Beard, Susan Jacobs, Lana Van Auker, Patrick Hyland, Kay Wilson, Theresa Dellick, Mary Sigel, and guest artist, Bob Barko.
A silent action for pieces of art that have been donated by the artists.
An open house at the new office of the Junior League, Suite 320, on the third floor of the building.
There is no cost to attend the art show and sale or the open house.
In conjunction with the event, the Junior League is offering an optional cocktail reception for 30 a person. Reservations are required for the reception and can be made by sending a check, payable to JLY with 'art show reception' on the memo line, to JLY, 201 E. Commerce St., Suite 320, Youngstown, OH 44503.
