GIRARD
Oct. 22
Assault: An East Howard Street man alleged an employee of Kay Lanes Inc., 841 S. State St., grabbed his neck and tore his shirt during a confrontation. The worker told police the man threw money at him.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 1700 block of Squaw Creek Drive reported a pumpkin was tossed at his mailbox.
Theft/criminal mischief: A Girard man reported someone broke his car's driver's-side window before stealing a compact-disc case and 20 CDs.
Criminal mischief: A Taylor Avenue man found an obscenity written on the hood of his truck.
Theft: A man took about 250 worth of razors from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 713 N. State St.
Theft: A man in the 1000 block of Beechwood Drive reported the theft of a hood ornament from his car.
Oct. 23
Criminal mischief: Two men in the 300 block of Ohio Avenue discovered their vehicles had been spray-painted; one vehicle also had eggs tossed at it.
Oct. 24
Menacing: A Highland Avenue woman reported getting numerous phone calls in which she was threatened with bodily harm.

Drug paraphernalia: A woman reported finding suspected drug equipment in a North Main Street apartment after the tenant had been evicted.
Criminal mischief: A vehicle in the 100 block of Erie Street had its windshield damaged.
Menacing: A student at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave., reported receiving a note in which her life was threatened.
Oct. 21
Robbery: A West Middlesex, Pa., man told officers that while he was at Dairy Mart, 119 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, someone shot spray paint in his face and stole money from his wallet.
Theft: A Saul Drive woman reported a pumpkin stolen from her porch.
Theft: Someone removed Halloween decorations from a home in the 800 block of Saul Drive.
Damage: A worker at Morrow's Auto Service Inc., 1200 N. Main St., discovered damage to a rear door, apparently after someone tried to break in.

Criminal mischief: Police said that two Hubbard teenagers, 15 and 16, admitted taking invisible-fence flags from a Waugh Drive residence.
Oct. 23
Criminal damaging: A man in the 200 block of East Liberty Street noticed spray paint on his girlfriend's vehicle.
Attempted theft: An East Liberty Street man realized someone tried to take property from his residence.
Menacing: An employee of Hubbard High School told police a student's father threatened the worker's wife.
Oct. 24
Theft: Property was removed from a laundry room at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
LIBERTY
Oct. 20
Arrest: While conducting a traffic stop in the 600 block of Gypsy Lane and determining the vehicle had a stolen license plate, officers charged a 35-year-old Youngstown man with driving under suspension and receiving stolen property. He also was wanted on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on one count of larceny.
Burglary: A woman suspected someone used a key to enter her apartment in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive. Stolen were a roasting pot, a cappuccino machine and a bottle of alcohol, for a total loss of 210.
Drugs: Police arrested a woman, 31, and a man, 34, both of Youngstown, during a traffic stop near the Quailty Inn and Suites, 4055 Belmont Ave. Police said they found ammunition, a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana and a straw with suspected cocaine. The woman faced felony charges of possession of a deadly weapon in a school zone, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana and cocaine; the man was charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension.
Burglary/aggravated menacing: A woman told authorities a Youngstown man, 37, entered a Church Hill Road residence she was at, threatened her with a knife and smashed her car's driver's-side mirror. The victim also reported the man threatened her over the phone.
Criminal mischief: A Park Circle woman found that garbage had been placed in her yard.
Theft: A man reported the theft of 720 worth of Halloween decorations from his home in the 4000 block of Eastlawn Drive.
Oct. 21
Theft: A woman in her 40s took a 40 portable CD player from Radio Shack, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Citation: Police issued a citation to a 35-year-old Campbell man on a charge of criminal trespassing after police said that despite having warned him to stay away from Travelers Inn, 1610 Motor Inn Drive, they found the man on the property.
Vandalism: A woman who owns a residence in the 2900 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road told police she suspected a former tenant caused thousands of dollars' worth of damage. The woman said she found a broken water softener, and urine and feces throughout the home.
Oct. 22
Auto theft: A Hubbard woman reported the theft of her 1996 Cadillac Eldorado from PDQ Car Wash Inc., 1953 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
Oct. 23
Theft: Police apprehended a 44-year-old Youngstown man near LaFrance Full Service Laundry, 3433 Belmont Ave., and charged him with theft. He was accused of stealing cologne and wristwatches from Big Lots, 3495 Belmont, and was wanted on warrants charging him with criminal trespassing and theft by deception.
Auto theft: A woman reported her sister's 1991 Oldsmobile Delta 88 stolen while she was visiting friends at a home in the 3100 block of North Gate Road.
Theft: Two laptop computers were stolen from Rent-a-Center, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Theft/criminal damaging: A vehicle's driver's-side window was broken at Sudon Bros. Inc., 1616 E. Liberty St., and a 100 CD player was removed.
Theft/criminal damaging: A Sampson Drive man found his mailbox smashed and two pumpkins stolen.
Theft/vandalism: Someone cut through several cables near a cellular phone tower in the 3700 block of Logan Gate Road and took a 150 copper ground bar.
Oct. 24
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near Hadley and Trumbull avenues, authorities took into custody a Youngstown man, 27, when they learned he was wanted on a felony warrant from Lorain County charging him with child neglect.
Theft: A West Montrose Street woman reported a man took her cellular phone without permission.
Theft: A customer shortchanged Radio Shack 100.
Theft: A man in the 200 block of Colonial Drive discovered a checkbook, a driver's license, a bag of receipts and change had been removed from his car.
