HOWLAND -- The Butler Institute of Art Trumbull Branch will celebrate make a difference day Sunday. The museum will feature performances by local students from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students from the Warren Western Reserve Drama Club will be presenting excerpts from their upcoming play, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," by C.S. Lewis. Western Reserve students will also teach and conduct art classes for attendees.
The event also will include a performance at 2 p.m. by the Positive Force Drill Team from Warren, and informational tables from local youth organizations including the Lake to River Girl Scouts, The Warren-Trumbull Public Library and College Tech from Youngstown State University.
The institute also will be accepting canned food donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Guitarist sings songsabout Great Lakes
WARREN -- The public is invited to an evening with Lee Murdock and his songs of the Great Lakes at 6:30 Nov. 16 at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W. The event is free.
Murdock, an acoustic guitarist, uses songs and stories to celebrate the heyday of the Great Lakes lumber trade around the end of the 19th century.

Adelines presentbarbershop music
MINERAL RIDGE -- Spirit of the Valley of Sweet Adelines International is presenting its annual barbershop music show, "Luv'n Laughter" at 3 p.m. Nov. 19 at Mineral Ridge High School, Seaborn Ave. It will be followed by a buffet dinner at 4 p.m.
Cost for the dinner and show is 20 for adults and 15 for children 12 and under. Advanced tickets for the show only are 10 for adults and 5 for children. Concert at college
ALLIANCE -- Tze Yean Lim and Siok Lian Tan will perform in a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in Presser Recital Hall at Mount Union College.
Tze Yean Lim is a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Siok Lian Tan is an associate professor of piano at Miami University in Oxford.
