Police probe disturbance at apartments
AUSTINTOWN --Township police were called to an apartment complex after a disturbance that involved about 30 people, a police report said.
The disturbance was in the parking lot of the Pembrook Apartments, 4151 Pembrook Road, at 4:40 p.m. Monday, the report said.
Two men who live there report they were lured outside by a woman who called and asked one of them to come out.
When they went outside, they were confronted by a man they knew who called between 20 and 30 of his friends from behind the building, they told police.
There was a lot of shouting, and at one point, a knife was held to the face of one of the men, police were told.
The parties separated, and the two men went back inside. Twenty minutes later, the man who'd confronted them at first in the parking lot called to say "they" had slashed tires on one of the men's cars. The car is actually registered to his mother.
All those involved in the fight fled before police got there. Detectives are investigating, the report said.
