YOUNGSTOWN -- A reception was held Sept. 16 at Stambaugh Auditorium to honor Alfred John Chiaino Jr. and his bride, the former Melissa Anne Ray, both of 54 Newel St., Brooklyn, N.Y., after their 1 p.m. wedding at St. Brendan Church.
The Rev. James Daprile presided for the daughter of Dolores Ray and Verne Ray, both of Youngstown, and the son of Dorothy Chiaino and Alfred Chiaino Sr., both of Brooklyn.
The bride's cream-colored, two-piece, A-line gown featured a French lace corset and silk organza skirt. It was enhanced with a champagne-colored sash and a side bow fastened with a pearl and diamond brooch.
Ruby-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Natalie Ray and Allison Dorbish; the bridesmaids, Jenny Kijowski, Julie Anne Ray, Diane Donovan and Katie Barker; and junior bridesmaids, Katie Tiberio and Nicole Tiberio. Flower girl was Kristen Donovan.
Serving as best men were Thomas Greenwood and Kevin Donovan. Groomsmen were Jeremy Ray, Leonardo Collazo, William Donovan and Michael Riecher. Ring bearer was Jeremy Ray Jr., and Matthew Ray, also participated.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is the self-employed owner of Armoire clothing boutique in Williamsburg, N.Y.
The groom attended St. John University in New York and is a financial analyst with Conde Nast Publications in New York City.
