Dinner held in celebration of Phares 50th

GIRARD -- Station Square Restaurant in Liberty was the setting for a dinner party held Sept. 30 to honor Mr. and Mrs. Jimie Phares, 1391 Shannon Road, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Carolyn and Jerry DeMaiolo of Austintown and Jimie Lee and Claire Phares of Concord, N.C., and their four grandchildren.
The former Ann Moyer and Mr. Phares were united in marriage Sept. 30, 1956, at Grace Episcopal Church in Elkins, W.Va.
Mr. Phares served four years with the U.S. Army and retired in 1999 from General Motors Corp. in Lordstown, where he was a skilled trades pipefitter.
Mrs. Phares is a homemaker.
