Criscione 50th is celebrated at Mass and dinner



GIRARD -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Criscione, 986 Gary Ave., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 14 by attending a Mass at St. Rose Church. Afterward they were honored during a dinner party that took place at Leo's Ristorant & eacute; in Howland.
Hosts for the festivities were their children and their spouses, Elaine and Don Houck of McDonald, Joanne and Less Davey of Lakewood, Shelly and Mike Woytek of Dublin, Joe and Chris Criscione of Girard, and Mike and Terry Criscione of Mineral Ridge. Completing the family are nine grandchildren.
The Crisciones will continue the anniversary celebration by taking a trip to Italy.
The former Rita Champ and Mr. Criscione were united in marriage on Oct. 13, 1956, at St. Rose Church where they are members. They are also members of St. Anthony Senior Citizens and St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Mrs. Criscione was employed for 25 years in the outpatient department at St. Elizabeth Hospital before retiring in 1997.
Mr. Criscione served six years with the Ohio National Guard. He retired in 1997 as a fire captain with the city of Girard. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
