HOPBOTTOM, Pa. -- Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 4 p.m. ceremony Sept. 30 as Christina Shawn Rookstool of Rural Route 1, and Edward Raymond Ian Curtis, 34 High St., Montrose, Pa., were united in marriage at the bride's home, where a reception was also held.
The Revs. Dan Hearn and Bob Kadlecik officiated at the wedding for the daughter of Jack and Sue Rookstool of Hopbottom and the son of Stephan and Janice Curtis, 515 W. Wood St., Lowellville.
The couple honeymooned in Maine and live at the groom's address. They will be honored at a postnuptial reception to be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Baptist Temple in Campbell.
The bride wore a white, strapless, corset-style gown designed with a beaded bodice and full pick-up satin skirt.
Burgundy gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Betsy Staff, and the bridesmaids, Jennifer Bushchman and the bride's sister, Krista Haynes. Another sister, Kim McCall, was honorary bridesmaid, and flower girl was the bride's daughter, Melanie Rookstool.
Donald Fenner served as best man, and groomsmen were the groom's brother, Marcus Curtis, and Kevin O'Brien. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Daniel Chandler.
The bride attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, Pa., and is a self-employed nanny in Montrose.
The groom, a landscaper with Arndt Outdoor Services in Clarks Summit, graduated from Baptist Bible College with a bachelor's degree in education.
