Run for the Ribbon to benefit shelters



WARREN -- Run for the Ribbon to Live Drug and Alcohol Free, a 5-kilometer run or walk through downtown Warren, will be Saturday, to help agencies that provide emergency shelter.
The event, sponsored by the Trumbull County Alcohol & amp; Drug Free Coalition, begins at 10 a.m. It starts and ends at the Warren Community Amphitheatre.
Entry fee is a donation of canned goods, personal hygiene items or nonperishable food items for Someplace Safe, a facility for woman and children who are victims of domestic abuse, and Warren Family Rescue Mission.
Personal hygiene items for babies should include formula and disposable diapers.
The first 300 to register will receive a free T-shirt. Registration begins at 9 a.m. the day of the event. To preregister, call (330) 394-9090, Ext. 102. Donations can also be dropped of at Community Solutions, 320 High St.
