Lordstown advances



LISBON -- Amanda Wickline had 22 points, including five aces, and Karly Gibbs had 12 assists and 52 sets for the top-seeded Lordstown High volleyball team, which defeated Southern 25-8, 25-15, 25-18 in a Division IV sectional final game Saturday at Lisbon High.
Megan Gibson added 11 kills and seven blocks for the Red Devils (21-2). Emily Ramsey had five points and Courtney Smalley had two kills and four blocks for Southern (1-21).
Jackson-Milton 25-25-25, Mineral Ridge 21-14-22
Krista Kiraly had nine points and two aces, Jennifer Kolasky had 19 assists and 48 sets and Alyssa Chine had 13 kills for second-seeded Jackson-Milton (17-6).
Sarah Garland had six points, Alex Ladd had six points, 16 assists and 54 sets and Taylor Shiley had seven kills and four blocks for the Rams (7-17).
St. Thomas 25-25-25, Western Reserve 15-21-15
Julianne DeChellis had 12 points and four aces, Steph Chirumbolo had 23 assists and 16 digs and Ally Sicker had nine kills and two blocks for the Knights.
Kailyn Mowery had 11 points, Kristiana Brown had 10 points and Kaelyn Hrabak and 10 assists, an ace and five kills for the Blue Devils.
Mathews 25-25-24-26, Leetonia 23-18-26-24
Breanne Gollan had 16 points and nine kills, Jenna Manz had 15 points, 23 assists and three aces and Alexis Gill had eight kills for Mathews (20-4).
Emily Goerig had 14 points, 19 digs and 10 kills, Sarah Weikart had 18 digs, 11 kills and 14 blocks and Valerie Goerig had 20 blocks for Leetonia (10-14).
Division I
STOW -- Fitch (11-11) defeated Nordonia in three games (25-16, 25-15, 25-15) and Hudson (11-11) beat Twinsburg in four sets (25-18, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15) in sectional final matches.
