Oops! Elbowing a Picasso ends a big sale

MCCLATCHY NEWSPAPERS
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- You can elbow your friends, but watch out when you elbow a Picasso. It can cost you millions.
Just ask casino mogul Steve Wynn. He was showing off a Picasso masterpiece at his office. He was about to close a deal to sell it for 139 million, when his errant arm gesture tore a hole in the canvas.
Wynn had paid 48.4 million for "La Reve,, a saucy portrait of Picasso's mistress, nearly 10 years ago. Now the sale to New York hedge-fund manager Steven Cohen is off.
