They will win the title outright with a victory over the Irish, who lost to Harding, 14-0, in Week 6. Last week, Mooney routed Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary, 47-7. Michael Zordich rushed for 129 yards on 11 carries while Dan McCarthy gained 123 yards on 17 carries. In this week's Associated Press poll of Division IV teams, Mooney is ranked No. 1. The Cardinals also are No. 1 in the Region 13 computer playoff ratings. The Irish lost, 32-22, to Ionia (Mich.) last week.
COLUMBIANA (7-1)vs. CRESTVIEW (6-2)
When: 7:30 p.m.Where: Crestview HighScouting report: The Clippers trail unbeaten South Range by one game in the Inter Tri-County League Tier One standings. Crestview's defeats were to South Range and Mineral Ridge, so another Rebels loss would perhaps eliminate them from the postseason. In this week's computer ratings, Crestview is the No. 6 team in Div. V, Region 17, while Columbiana is the No. 2 team in Div. VI, Region 21. In the state AP poll, Columbiana is No. 6 this week. Both teams won last week -- Columbiana romped past East Palestine, 32-0, while Crestview edged United, 34-27. In the Clippers' win, Joe Winters rushed for 155 yards on 19 carries and scored four touchdowns. He needs 62 yards to reach 1,000 for the season. Quarterback Jarrett Welton has completed half of his 84 passes for 690 yards. For the Rebels, Keith Drewnoski has rushed for 867 yards on 148 carries and he's scored 14 touchdowns. Tony Britton has rushed 115 times for 646 yards.
LIBERTY (8-0)vs. HUBBARD (7-1)
When: 7:30 p.m.Where: Hubbard StadiumRadio: WBBG-FM 106.1Scouting report: Once again, first place for the Trumbull Athletic Conference comes down to this matchup. Both are 5-0 in league games. The winner should receive enough computer ratings points to ensure a playoff berth and most likely a home game in Week 11. In this week's rating for Div. III, Region 9, Hubbard is No. 3 and Liberty is No. 5. Both teams won by huge margins last week -- Liberty defeated Brookfield, 28-3, while Hubbard shut out Lakeview, 28-0. Hubbard's Steve Cincola rushed for 96 yards and scored three touchdowns. Last year, Liberty won, 42-14, and finished the regular season, 10-0.
