Instant spiced tea can be made in bulk

Dear Heloise: I am looking for a recipe that you make in bulk for instant spiced tea. The only ingredients I recall are powdered orange breakfast drink and instant tea. Do you have this recipe anywhere in your files? Thanks. Margie in Texas
Yes, I do! This favorite recipe is delicious, and it also makes a great hostess or housewarming gift when put in a pretty jar along with directions on how to make it! To prepare this friendship tea, you will need the following:
21/2 cups powdered orange-flavored breakfast drink.
13/4 cups powdered instant tea (not sweetened).
2 to 21/2 cups sugar.
1 small package unsweetened lemonade mix (small packet that makes 2 quarts when mixed with water).
11/2 teaspoons ground cloves.
11/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
Mix together all the ingredients and store in a container with an airtight lid. Put the ingredients in a blender to make the tea smooth and creamy-looking. Or, make a sugar-free version by using sugar substitute, diet powdered orange drink and sugar-free lemonade.
To make a glass, add 1 to 2 rounded teaspoons (the sugar-free is more concentrated, so you will probably need less) to 6 to 8 ounces of water. Stir well, add ice and enjoy! For other flavored teas, coffees and more, I have compiled a four-page pamphlet filled with delicious tea and coffee recipes. To receive a copy, please send 3 and a long, self-addressed, stamped (63 cents) envelope to: Heloise/Tea, P.O. Box 795001, San Antonio, TX 78279-5001. There are all kinds of things you can add to hot or cold tea to give it a little more flavor. How about trying a lemon-drop candy, chocolate morsel or sprinkle of cinnamon? Heloise
Dear Readers: Do you know which country consumes the most tea on a per-person basis? Look at the following countries and see if you know the right one:
Great Britain.
Canada.
Ireland.
United States.
Do you think it's Great Britain? According to the The Tea Association of the USA, the British consume 3.2 cups per day, and people in the United States consume much less. But the answer is Ireland, where nearly 4 cups per person is consumed each day. Heloise
Dear Heloise: I make my daughter's lunch every day. I am willing to do this, but not willing to ask her every day what she wants. She suggested this idea.
Attach a paper to the sticky side of each magnet in a sheet of magnets.
Write a lunch item on each square of paper attached to a magnet and stick it on the side of the refrigerator.
My daughter moves to the front of the fridge the appropriate magnets for what she would like for lunch that day, and I return them to the side of the fridge after I make her lunch. Maren, via e-mail
Dear Readers: Save money! Don't buy a cleaner caddy for smaller cleaning items -- make one instead. Use a clean, empty 1-gallon milk or juice jug, and cut off the top side portion, leaving the handle in place. Store cleaning supplies inside it. It's easy to carry around, and is tossable when it gets dirty. Heloise
