PITTSBURGH -- Jamaica was the honeymoon destination of Stephen Paul Pavlich and his bride, the former Katie R. Vano, who were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at St. Bernard Church by the Rev. Patrick Barkey.
A reception was held later that day at South Pointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, Pa. The couple live at 119 Baywood Ave.
The bride is a daughter of Louis and Nancy Manolios, 919 McNielly Road, and George and Patricia Vano of Trinity, Fla. Parents of the groom are Dennis and Kathleen Pavlich, 480 Chatsworth Lane, Canfield.
The bride wore a raw silk off-the-shoulder-style gown enhanced with ruching.
Green gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Emily Heim, and the bridesmaids, Meghan Scichilone, Mary Kleinert, Leslie Smirniw and the bride's sisters, Amanda Vano and Jennifer and Angel Manolios. Flower girl was Grace Heim, her niece.
The groom was attended by Christopher Stevens, best man, and Shaun Urichich; Yancy Yorkovich; Robert Smallwood Jr., his brother-in-law; Jennifer Smallwood, his sister; Daniel Sullivan, his cousin; and Jeffrey Heim, the bride's brother-in-law. Ring bearers were Robert III and Christopher Smallwood, nephews of the groom.
The bride and groom graduated from Ohio University with bachelor's degrees, hers in economics and his in political science. She is an events logistics coordinator with the University of Pittsburgh, and he is in sales with Yellow Book in Pittsburgh.
