LOWELLVILLE -- A polka Mass is planned for 4:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 131 E. Wood St., with the Rev. Gerald M. DeLucia as celebrant. A dance will follow in the educational center from 6 to 9 p.m. The Wayne Tomsic Band will provide music for both events. Donation is $5. The kitchen will be open. 100th anniversary
YOUNGSTOWN -- St. Casimir Church, 145 Jefferson St., will mark its 100th anniversary with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 5. First Friday Club
BOARDMAN -- First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown will have its monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 2 at Antone's Banquet Center. The speaker will be Sister Eileen Gannon, nongovernmental representative to the United Nations, on the topic, "One People, One Planet, One Spirit." Pilgrim church event
STRUTHERS -- Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 67 McClure St., will mark its 81st anniversary Oct. 22. As part of the celebration, Pilgrim's Amalgamated Choir will present its second annual concert at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Missionary speaker
EASTFAIRFIELD -- Meryl Esenwein will speak during the service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at East Fairfield United Methodist Church. Esenwein, a native of East Fairfield, has served for 41 years with World Gospel Mission. She began in 1966 in Burundi, Africa, and later transferred to Tanzania and then to Uganda. She has worked as a print shop artist, helped in the production of VBS and Theological Education by Extension materials, held seminars on church planting, taught in a secondary school and at Tabora Bible Institute, worked with youth and children's ministries and participated in house-to-house evangelism. She returned from Uganda on April 25 and is helping raise support for the church planting ministry and for missionaries.
Music and fellowship
HUBBARD -- Corner House Christian Church will have an evening of music and fellowship at 6 p.m. Oct. 22 in fellowship hall. The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley Men's Choir will perform. 94th anniversary
FARRELL, Pa. -- Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon-New Castle Road, will mark its 94th anniversary during a service at 4 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Dr. James Harris, pastor of Greater Avery African Methodist Episcopal Church, Cleveland, as speaker. A revival is planned at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with the theme, "A Church Grateful to Serve a Faithful God." The evangelist will be the Rev. Thessalonia Graham, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Loris, S.C.

Lunch and fellowship will follow in the fellowship hall. The event will recognize 50-year members, teachers past and present, couples married at the church and veterans.
'Saturday Night' event
YOUNGSTOWN -- The choir and congregation of First Calvary Baptist Church, 126 E. Wood St., will present "Saturday Night Live/Gospel-Style Musical" at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 21. Guests will be area choirs, soloists and poets.

100 Men in Black program
YOUNGSTOWN -- Phillips Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 718 Albert St., will celebrate the 100 Men in Black program at 4 p.m. Sunday. Speaker will be Dr. Donald Robinson, choirs and congregation of Lane Metropolitan C.M.E. Church in Cleveland. Men of the church will be honored.
Moving to new facility
YOUNGSTOWN -- Everlife Worship Center Assembly of God will relocate Oct. 22 to its new multipurpose facility at 474 Early Road on the city's East Side. There will be a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony at noon. The center formerly was at 815 Wilson Ave.
