Miss Ahlswede to be bride of Mr. Chernushin

BOARDMAN -- A winter wedding is planned by Jennifer Ahlswede of Boardman and Shawn Chernushin of Charlotte, N.C. Their engagement is being announced by the parents of the bride-elect, Edward and Elizabeth Ahlswede of Boardman.
The prospective groom is a son of Alan and Linda Chernushin of Boardman.
The couple will exchange nuptial vows during an open ceremony that will take place at 2 p.m. Dec. 30 at St. Dominic Church, Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception to be held at Mr. Anthony's.
Miss Ahlswede is employed in management with Sephora. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising.
Mr. Chernushin graduated cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is a test engineer with MGM Brakes in Charlotte.
