"Scrubs" (9 p.m., NBC): It's easy to lose track of this still-hilarious hospital sitcom. Sometimes it's off in hiatus hibernation. Other times it's getting jerked all over the schedule by maniacal network programmers. Now the show is set to launch its sixth season as part of NBC's new-look Thursday-night comedy block and, if we're lucky, it will stay put for a while. The opener is all about babies as J.D. is still reeling from the news that he's going to be a father, and Dr. Cox is awaiting child No. 2. Meanwhile, Turk and Carla prepare for the arrival of their little one. It's no wonder, then, that Elliot, the only "Scrubs" mainstay not having a baby, is feeling a bit left out.
"Afterlife" (9 p.m., BBC America): A medium finds the man of her dreams, but he's a skeptical professor mourning the loss of his son.
"American Soundtrack: This Land Is Your Land" (9 p.m., PBS): The Smothers Brothers and Judy Collins host this musical journey featuring the Brothers Four, Glenn Yarborough, the Highwaymen, the Limeliters, Roger McGuinn and more.
