Truck sideswipes car on 711 connector

The tractor-trailer likely has paint scrapings on it from the Chevy.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Two millwrights on their way to work at V & amp;M Star Steel on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard need help in finding the tractor-trailer they say sideswiped and crumpled their car and kept on trucking.
Joseph McCoy, 29, of Newell, W.Va., said the car he and his cousin, Chris Pinkerton, 27, of East Liverpool, were in was hit on the 711 connector near the Girard exit around 6:45 a.m. Monday. McCoy, who was in the passing lane, said the trucker, in the next lane, put on his turn signal "and then just came on top of us -- he totaled my car."
McCoy said the passenger side of his 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier was destroyed. He and his cousin declined to go to the hospital, though both were shaken up.
"At first I thought he was going to stop, but he didn't even hit his brakes," McCoy said of the trucker. "We stayed in the passing lane and called 911."
Seeking witnesses
McCoy said another car and another tractor-trailer likely witnessed the hit-skip. He's asking that anyone who may have information, such as the company logo or license number of the truck that hit him, call police.
He thinks the tractor-trailer continued on 711 past the Girard exit. He thinks it has an open or cloth top, and the cab may be black.
McCoy said the truck must have burgundy paint scrapings on it from his Cavalier. He said he bought the car recently because the motor in his truck blew up.
McCoy said he and his cousin managed to get his car to the V & amp;M lot and had it towed from there.
