CRAFT SHOWS
Lord of Life Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will hold a Lutheran World Relief Fair Trade Fair from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 10 at the church featuring handcrafted items made by artisans from developing regions of the world. Buying merchandise at the fair enables artisans to earn a better income and make a better life for their families. The event is part of SERRV, Sales Exchange for Refugee Rehabilitation and Vocation, an international program.
Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, 3813 Hadley Road, Clarks Mills, Pa., will hold a craft show with more than 40 vendors from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will also be a bake sale, rummage sale and Chinese auction. Lunch and gift-wrapping will be available.
Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital, 1350 E. Market St., Warren, will hold a holiday craft fair featuring more than 50 crafters from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Baked goods will be available. There will be free admission and parking.
The Senior Class of Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, will hold a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school. There will be more than 215 vendor booths, free parking and free shuttle service from St. Michael Church on state Route 46 and at the middle school on Wadsworth Street. Admission is free, and no strollers will be permitted.
Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten will hold a "Once Upon a Christmas" craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Ursuline Center, 4300 Shields Road, Canfield. Baked goods and candy will be sold, and a concession stand will open at 9 a.m. There will be more than 100 vendors, and there will also be raffles. DINNER-DANCES
Kinsman Area Business and Professional Organization will sponsor a benefit dinner dance Saturday at Williamsfield Community Center, corner state Routes 7 and 322. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the BYOB event. After dinner there will be dancing from 8 to 11. FESTIVALS
St. Rose of Lima Church and the Society Mutualista Mexicana are sponsoring a Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec. 9 at St. Rose of Lima Hall, 50 Struthers-Coitsville Road. Mass will be held at 6 p.m. with dancing from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Spanish and Mexican foods will be sold. Tickets are 12 in advance and 15 at the door. OPEN HOUSES
Mahoning Valley Historical Society, 648 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will hold a Holiday Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Food and seasonal music will be featured. Admission is 15 for members and 20 for guests.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Northern Mercer County United Way is sponsoring Greenville's Community Christmas Party to be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Moose 766 Family Center, 32 Shenango St. Greenville, Pa. Admission is 17 and includes appetizers and a buffet-style dinner of chicken, ziti pasta and meatballs and dessert. There will be a cash bar and musical entertainment. Pleasant Valley Church, 2055 Pleasant Valley Road, Girard, is sponsoring a Tuff Times Tea for those going through a difficult time such as batting cancer or suffering from divorce, loneliness or depression.
